2002, Ashford and Simpson’s
elegant Sugar Bar will
launch the first of FLIRTINGTIME.com
soirees throughout New
York City and the nation.
Media personality Sabrina
Lamb, and former theatrical
agent DeBorah Gittens,
who recognized that the
social lives of African-American
singles often reflect
the fast-paced nature
of their daily existence,
founded FLIRTINGTIME.com.
With all the modern day
gadgetry (i.e. emails,
cell-phones, online dating,
etc) created to improve
our ability to communicate,
singles have become like
ships in the night, often
missing chances to meet
new and interesting people.
We all desire to forge
strong personal ties,
and meeting others face
to face encourages our
ability to do so. Thus,
FLIRTINGTIME.com was born
out of the desire for
an enjoyable and pressure-free
way to meet other African-American
singles that seriously
want to connect.
FLIRTINGTIME.com is fast
becoming the premier international
destination for singles
of African descent. FLIRTINGTIME.com
soirees incorporate traditional
face-to-face meetings
with the advantages of
an online presence. As
a result, attendees never
leave a soiree without
meeting someone. Attendees
will look forward to an
email announcing who would
like to see them again
- on a friend, business
or romance basis. Soirees
are broken down demographically
and by interests, such
as Single Black Film Lovers:

Launching in New York
City with 17 scheduled
soirees and growing, FlirtingTime.com
will unveil soirees in
New Jersey, Philadelphia,
Washington D.C., Baltimore,
Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta
and Houston. Gift certificates
are also available for
anyone to give to their

The
FLIRTINGTIME.com lists
the locations of FLIRTINGTIME
soirees. Interested parties
sign up and pre-pay for
their space at the soiree
only on the FlirtingTime.com
site. Participants who
sign up first are notified
by email that they are
confirmed for the event
when there are an equal
number of men and women
signed up.
Each FLIRTINGTIME.com
soiree is held at an elegant
restaurant where attendees
will engage in one-on-one
conversations lasting
five-minutes each. Participants
are given a “Flirt
Card” so that they
can indicate who peaks
their interest that evening.
After at least 20 5-minute
dates, attendees will
take a break and enjoy
the entertainment, followed
by 20 more 5-minute dates.
The next day, FLIRTINGTIME.com
will notify each attendee
who would like to see
them again, along with
email addresses and/or
telephone numbers. The
rest is up to the two
people!
