was founded
by media personality Sabrina
Lamb, and former theatrical
agent DeBorah Gittens,
who recognized that the
social lives of African-American
and Latino singles often
reflect the fast-paced
nature of their daily
existence.
With all the modern day
gadgetry (i.e. emails,
cell-phones, online dating,
etc) created to improve
our ability to communicate,
singles have become like
ships in the night, often
missing chances to meet
new and interesting people.
We all desire to forge
strong personal ties,
and meeting others face
to face encourages our
ability to do so.

founders are
frankly unnerved by the
negative, dismissive attitudes
that many singles have
with one another - and
this is without even knowing
the other person. Thus,

out of the desire for

I'm Sabrina Lamb,
Chief Flirting Officer of
FlirtingTime.com.
Together with our Site
Cousins, FlirtingTime.com offers
you enjoyable and pressure-free
offline events for you to connect
other African-American singles.
Our motto: "So Many Flirts,
In 5 minutes time, In One Exciting
Evening."
African-American singles have
become like ships in the night,
often missing chances to embrace
new and interesting people.
Let's face it, we all desire
to forge strong personal ties,
and meeting others face to face
encourages our ability to do
so. Some of us have been socializing
with the same friends since
college, and now since they
are married, we have limited
access to the people. As Black
singles, we should be acquainted
with as many people as possible,
as through your new expanded
circle of friends, who knows
what opportunities will emerge.
Since expanding across the country,
and hopefully by now, to a city
near you, I have been alarmed
by the dismissive attitudes,
the judgments and the feeling
of isolation, which seems to
hover around African-American
singles. When you consider our
rich and often turbulent history
in this country, one would think
that Black folks would look
to one another, for comfort,
salvation, economic opportunities
and gentle fun. But sometimes,
that is not the case. We are
besieged with negative media
images of Black men contrasted
by the emergence of the "professional"
Black woman. As a result, some
of us have bought into the stereotypes
about ourselves and allowed
a wedge to be placed between
us.
How does this impact upon single
Black folks? We don't each other
a break! We dismiss each other
for transient, superficial reasons,
(job title, economic status,
shoes, car, etc.) We have forgotten
how to "just be" together without
an agenda or scrutiny. Unless,
we turn these genocidal attitudes
about each other around..we
will cease to thrive as a community.
Fortunately, FlirtingTime.com
soirees exist so that Black
folks can be together, without
interrogations, attitudes or
cross-examinations regarding
one's possessions. Smiling Black
women gracefully rise to greet
each Black man. Brothers breathe
a little easier from the healing
atmosphere and feel embraced
like never before. Sisters love
being flirted with by Black
men.
You see, FlirtingTime.com is
a revolution, in that finally
African-American singles have
a safe place where they can
play, flirt and giggle with
one another. Where FlirtingTime.com
Coordinators greet you warmly,
and where you are treated in
a first class manner.
